Pre- Abortion Counseling at Iganga!

Caring guidance preserves life!

Although Uganda has abortion restrictions, they are performed daily.

[1] 1.2 Million Ugandan woman face unwanted pregnancy each year, in which 26% lead in abortion. Woman living in rural communities are at further risk of having complications during an abortion procedure. Many clinics refer woman to pre- abortion counseling before they agree to perform the procedure.

David Kisaame, of Iganga Crisis Pregnancy Center, fills this need with gladness!

In a recent testimony, David shared how he counseled an unnamed couple, who sought an abortion of their seventh child. Being a pastor, David went to the Bible, and shared how sacred life is to God. Many who come to the pregnancy center, know nothing about God or the Bible. David reads scripture that shows, life begins at conception. The worries that this couple faced, is shared by all the others who came before them. This couple felt that one more mouth to feed, would be far to difficult. David shared many events of hardship from the Bible, and how the Lord gave them all strength to gain victory. Using wisdom like Solomon, David asked the question, ” Having six children, and one in the womb, which brings you more burden to sustain”? They replied “the six”. Jokingly, David said ” Then why not get rid of  the six, and keep the one in your womb”?. Of course, they refused, yet understood what David was implying.. If it is impossible to kill your six children, why kill the one yet to be born.

Ultimately it is the mothers decision, but David aims to be sure they are fully aware of what is to come. Many times, when someone knows there is an another answer, they feel more at peace keeping their child.

This story ended well! after counseling, the couple decided to keep their child. Months passed, and a man entered David’s office to share the news of how grateful he was to receive harsh reality.. in essence, he had asked his wife to have an abortion, since they had six daughters to care for. In tears he related how his wife had just given birth to their only son!.  Good decisions end well, and together they prayed for the existence of the counseling center, and Gods gift of a baby boy.

Iganga reaches out to those seeking an abortion, and provides aid to those who struggle after giving birth to a child. Parenting education, and childcare often lead a family to finding sustainable income. Since finances are the leading cause of abortion, this is a wonderful resource. David invites all those with a heart for life, to join him. If you are considering a mission to Uganda, please contact me.

If you would like to help Iganga advance their efforts, please donate here via Pay Pal.

The gift of clean water

You can help provide clean water to an orphanage in India!

I have read if you vacation in India, don’t drink the water! since even the municipal water should be filtered to be free from contaminates..

The orphanage in India does not have running water.. Most in rural India rely on carrying water from a nearby source, and many suffer from water-borne illness.. Humanitarian groups are involved to help bring clean water to children and family’s in many country’s. I believe this is a wonderful incentive, considering it can improve overall health, and even prevent death.

NewAt the orphanage, they carry water from a bore well that is on the property. This water is used for cleaning and bathing, but can not supply drinking water, for its high levels of TDS, it also produces heavy limescale, and can not be trusted to be free of bacteria.  They are blessed to have a source of water, but they must purchase water for drinking, and cooking.

They are all hard-working, and thankful for what they have. I believe having access to clean water would be a blessing to the family.

I am on a quest to raise the funds for a water treatment system. This would allow them to use bore well water making it safe for all household use. After some research I discovered if your water is high in TDS ( total dissolved salts) you need a reverse osmosis system.

If you would like to help this cause, please note that 100% is used for the family.

Please share the need, as it is also giving  🙂  ~ Colossians 3:17 ~

For the love of Sierra Leone~ Update

Our Loved Sister Betty Florence

I eagerly awaited the mission statement from the Betty Florence Foundation..

Betty arrived safely on January,13th and has been busy since her feet touched the ground. At 81 she can still surprise many, she lives among the villagers without modern amenity’s, and this is how she prefers it.

Missionary TrailBetty has been a missionary with Mission For Souls, for many years. Her stories of triumph are mingled with heartache, speaking of how she has a two-fold objective, one is to teach the villagers about Jesus Christ, and to assist the children with education. Betty believes the way out of poverty and crime, is to educate any child who is willing to learn. The school relies on donations to operate, since officials reneged on their agreement to help with the funding. Parents are willing to send their children to the school for free education, and keeping the school open is a blessing to many.

Village To Village By Boat

In March, Betty and her team spent 12 days going down river to Mono Kranko, to evangelize. Betty has walked many dirt roads, and been rowed by boat to reach the villages. There is not a pharmacy on every corner, at best you will find a village witch doctor.. Betty brings an arsenal to her small hut every trip, the power of prayer that heals, and her vitamins. She had an attack of stomach virus after sharing the Gospel in Mono Kranko, by the grace of God, she recovered. Preaching through the sickness, she told all who were willing to listen, that Jesus Christ is the savior for all mankind. Many people responded to the Gospel message, asking the Lord to be their savior. I anxiously await listening to her testimony of how God is moving in West Africa. When a man is brought out of a diabetic coma without doctors or medication, but by prayer, who can deny the power of God ? His love never fails.

Children love BettyIn April, Betty and her team was scheduled to visit Lofa County, Liberia. There are many tasks that need to be done, as the Lord enables.

They are constructing a permanent school building in Gbesseh Village, and working with the villagers to better their lives. No matter where Betty walks, her message is to love one another, help each other to make stone soup.. and to know Jesus, the One who loves us the most. Betty’s mission efforts are under funded, accomplishing as she is able each year. Children are taught, wells are dug, churches are planted, and the Gospel has been shared 🙂

Thank you for taking the time to read the good news!

~India Update~ Lives Can Change!

I always enjoy receiving an update from the Rural Mobil Gospel Mission of India.

There are many who attempt to find peace in their current religion, or by their own means.. What comes to mind, and is proven throughout history.. To know peace is to know Jesus! The testimonies of new believers speaks for itself. I am thankful that they were reached through hearing the Gospel, and were given a Bible to strengthen their journey. In America it is easy to get a Bible, and some have multiple copies.. but in many country’s of the world, they are either forbidden, or new believers can not afford to obtain one. $3.00 can provide a Telugu Bible for those who are in need, and supplies are shorter than demand.. Please consider donating a Bible today, they are sent to Rural Mobil Gospel Mission.

Mission Response:

After hearing the Rural Mobil Gospel meeting, Raju decided to accept Jesus as his Savior. He let Christ into his heart and gave Him control of his life. The team taught him how to read the Bible and pray. He is now learning more about God through the discipleship classes. Got Bible

I was living life the way I wanted to, but I started to feel hopeless and depressed. After hearing the Rural Mobil gospel meeting .I realized the way I was living was filled with sorrow. I gave up my ways and decided to follow Jesus. Got Bible

After I heard the Rural Mobil gospel meeting when it was arranged in my village. I gave my life to God and am now a member of a local church. Even though I left my home, I have found hope and peace in Christ. Got Bible

I knew deep in my heart I did not take God seriously. When the Rural Mobil gospel meeting arranged in my town, I heard it that night. I was so moved when Jesus washed His disciple’s feet and told them to go and do this with others. Since I heard the Rural Mobil gospel meeting, I am training the young people in carpentry with love and respect, like Jesus showed his disciples. I want to live as Jesus lived. I attend church regularly and want to lead the people I work with to Jesus. Got Bible

Sometimes we fall away from Jesus and try to control our lives. I fell away from Jesus when life was very difficult. I fell back into temptation. When I heard the Rural Mobil gospel meeting, I was reminded when Jesus was at His lowest, in pain and suffering, He prayed to his Father in heaven for help. Now I feel peace in my life because I have given all my burdens to Jesus who cares for me. Got Bible

I Heard the Rural Mobil gospel meeting, I now understand Jesus loves me and died on the cross for me. I have accepted Christ as my personal Savior and want to follow Him for the rest of my life. I now feel very happy because I am no longer alone. God is with me. Got Bible

Sowing Seeds Of Love

You can sow seeds of discourse, and reap noxious weeds.. or sow seeds of love and reap a harvest!

Last year I shared a post about creating ways to supplement the food supply at the India orphanage.. One obstacle they faced was lack of fertile ground to sow into, and this is the case for many in India.

green-my-lifeWith prayer and some searching I found a great alternative. Patio gardens and grow bags, take little space and can produce a great amount of fruit, and vegetables. Last year I sent a Green My Life grow kit to the orphanage, and it was successful. This year I would like to expand the effort, to include the widows with children, and the elderly.

givingFor those who are not familiar with Praveen, he and his wife Kurthi, along with his parents, renovated an old building to open an orphanage. The children are taken in from the streets if they are willing, and given a new hope in life. The home is not government funded, and operates through donation.  Praveen and his father are also pastors, reaching out to local widows, and the elderly. There is no lack of love in that place, I have seen the desire this  family holds for helping the poor. ~  Hebrews 13:6

If possible I plan to send an ample supply of seeds and grow bags to share with those who are able to use them. Keeping in mind, many live in huts and tents.. possibly others with ample room can share their bounty with those who can not grow their own.

Please pray that this project will be successful, please share the project with your friends. If you feel lead to help please donate. Every prayer and penny is appreciated 🙂

Thank you so much

Lest We Forget MLK Jr.

I would like to ask those who do not enjoy color,to close their eyes and imagine a world without it..

White skies and trees, white birds that never sing differently.. This world would be an awful place, if we were all one Race. Color is beauty, let us celebrate love and diversity..

Dr. King once said that we all have to decide whether we “will walk in the light of creative altruism or the darkness of destructive selfishness. Life’s most persistent and nagging question, he said, is `what are you doing for others?’” he would quote Mark 9:35, the scripture in which Jesus of Nazareth tells James and John “…whosoever will be great among you shall be your servant; and whosoever among you will be the first shall be the servant of all.” And when Martin talked about the end of his mortal life in one of his last sermons, on February 4, 1968 in the pulpit of Ebenezer Baptist Church, even then he lifted up the value of service as the hallmark of a full life. “I’d like somebody to mention on that day Martin Luther King, Jr. tried to give his life serving others,” he said. “I want you to say on that day, that I did try in my life…to love and serve humanity. {1}

When was Jesus born?

I will always remember gathering with my grandparents for Christmas. My grandmother would bake a cake, and we would sing happy birthday to Jesus.

It was not until I was much older that I realized Jesus was not born on Christmas day. Mary and Joseph did not leave a birth certificate for us to discover, but the Bible does hold some clues.

Roman Emperor Aurelan set the date for winter solstice December 25th, this is a pagan holiday to worship the sun god Sol. Christians were allowed to celebrate what we now call Christmas, to worship Jesus instead. It was also on this date in 168 BC, Antiochus defiled the Temple, offering a pig to Zeus on the altar of God. I often wondered why Christians did not choose another date to celebrate, since there is paganism mixed into Christmas traditions. One positive note is that Christians do leave CHRIST in Christmas.

We should celebrate the birth of Jesus every day, but I thought it would be interesting to know when He could have been born. {Luke 1:13}Zacharias and Elizabeth conceived in their old age. {Luke 1:26-27,31} We know that Elizabeth was with child before the angel appeared before Mary. {Luke 1:36} We know that John was six months older than his cousin Jesus.{Luke 1:9} Zacharias served in the Temple on Pentecost when the angel appeared to him. It is believed by Jewish historians that John was conceived in the Biblical month of Sivan. This being early June on the Gregorian calendar, placing his birth late March 03 BC.{ Luke 1:26-58} When the Spirit of God overshadowed the virgin Mary it was six months after John was conceived, placing the Holy Conception around late November, early December on the Gregorian calendar. Going by the Biblical calendar and Fall feasts, Jesus was born during the Fall harvest in September.

{Genesis 1:4} We can also glean from the stars that God placed in the heavens for signs and seasons.{Matthew 2} The magi were searching for the star that would locate the king of the Jews. There is a star that appeared in the evening, just as the Fall Feast began, and it bears a startling resemblance to the sign John foretold.

{Revelation 12:1-5} John describes a woman giving birth to a son who will rule the nations! September 11, during the Feast of Trumpets in the year 3 BC, Leo began to merge with Jupiter, they would rise together as one. That evening just before the Feast began, Venus in Virgo was clothed in the sun with the new moon under her feet. Was the Messiah born September 12th, just as the the moon was at the feet of Virgo? Did Jupiter rise forming the Star of Bethlehem just before dawn to announce the King of the Jews had been born?.

God forbids use of astrology, I do not follow horoscopes or birth signs. The Babylonians created horoscopes and the use of astrology to predict the future. The magi and the prophet Daniel studied the constellation of the stars for signs and seasons. Although the exact date that Jesus was born is not of real importance. Believing in the One who was born to take away the sins of the world, is of the utmost. There is to much proof to deny Him, and delaying the question if He exists can prove futile. Many good men and woman have died unexpectedly within seconds.. with no time to consider life after death.

If you are wondering if God exists.. or if this virgin birth is just a well arranged myth.. please take the time to research and discover for yourself if it is true.

If you celebrate Christmas, as they say in India happy happy Christmas to you” 🙂

~Black Seed Oil~ Amazing Results!

Nigella Sativa: Beauty is cherished for its healing properties

Nigella Sativa also called Kalonji or Black Seed, has been cherished for centuries for its usefulness. It is mentioned in the Bible by Isiah(28:25-27) and other ancient texts.

Being praised as a cure for many ailments, the seeds are eaten or pressed into oil for medicinal use. This may be why it has been named the Blessed Seed

In India there are many poor who can not afford modern medicine.  New studies have shown that Nigella Sativa oil was very effective in aiding those who suffer from HIV.

nigella-216510_640The study, published in the African Journal of Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine, showed the results of treating a patient with Nigella Sativa oil.

The study shows that a man sought treatment with an herbalist, not only was the oil effective in treating the symptoms of HIV, but the patient seemed to go into remission.

The patient was given 10 mls ( 2 teaspoons) twice a day for 6 months. He was contacted daily to monitor side-effects and results. Within 20 days his symptoms of the disease had ended. After 187 days of using the oil his HIV blood tests were negative. When therapy had ended he repeated the blood test after 24-months, this was also HIV negative.

Why is this so exiting? Many people around the world die from this disease, modern medicine is very costly, and only lessons the disease. Pastor Madhu Bunga attempts to give support to those suffering from HIV throughout the streets of India. It has been said that the purest Nigella Sativa can be found there, this may be an answer from God above.

If you know of someone who is suffering from this disease, please let them know that they can explore what this amazing oil can offer. When in search of this oil, it is important that the product is certified Nigella Sativa oil, since others labeled  Black Seed Oil,  are not all the same purity. Many companies sell their oil online, including India.

I can not diagnose or recommend treatment for  any specific disease, this article is for informational purpose only.

Touching The Lepers

There are many souls stricken with leprosy and their suffering is intensified by being outcasts.. India, Indonesia, and Brazil have the highest rate of leprosy. It has been estimated that three million people are effected by this disease, leaving them permanently debilitated and disfigured.

In the Holy Bible there are stories of lepers who faced the same hardship. They were shunned in public and would isolate themselves from society. They would not be hired to support themselves or their family, and survived through alms from strangers.

When among society, they were required by law to yell out “I’m a leper”. This was to warn not to go near them. Lepers were judged by many who said you were cursed, or being punished for your sins.

Jesus of Nazareth was known for His love and kindness. He had compassion for the sick, and healed them.

Matthew 8: 1-4
Jesus Cleanses The Leper

When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him, “See that you tell no one; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

Luke 17:11-19
Ten Lepers Cleansed

Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”  So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?  Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”  All Jesus wanted in return for their healing, was to believe and be thankful.

There are many amazing miracles that Jesus performed in the Bible, and this same healing power is available still today, through faith and prayer. The love of Jesus sends men and woman to help those who are suffering.
