“And they who for their country die shall fill an honored grave, for glory lights the soldier’s tomb, and beauty weeps the brave.”

It’s Trade A Coffee Day Here At Pennies For Dreams!
We love our morning coffee on the go, no matter your weakness. Double shot espresso, skinny mocha late, or the simple black. I am asking everyone who loves coffee as much as I do, trade coffee for a day and donate it here!
Christmas is around the corner and I truly need your help in providing gifts to the children’s home in India, and the children’s school in Pakistan.
So lets get together and BYO for a day in order to bring joy to a child this Christmas!
If you would like to gift the family’s directly, please contact me and I will tell you how.
Your help is appreciated, and please share this post with your coffee loving friends. 🙂
Although the baby girl found buried alive in India has not been named, I choose to call her Karuṇa Daya since mercy seemed so fitting. Karuṇa Daya was born premature, weighing just over two pounds and battling sepsis, among other serious conditions.
Doctors are amazed that she is now thriving and awaiting adoption. Rajesh Kumar Mishra a local politician, paid her medical care. Rajesh and his wife have said they will be adopting her after the legal waiting period.
I feel this is a miracle from God, others say it was a twist of fate.. I only know the chances of being found in a rural cemetery within a short time of death are pretty slim.. and the act of kindness from Rajesh Kumar Mishra, provided the NICU she needed.
The parents have not been discovered, but I am sure they are also amazed. The baby girl just discarded, now is being loved and nurtured.
Couple rescues infant buried alive!
One family’s mourning turned into a true blessing while they were intending to lay their own child to rest. When starting to dig a grave at an isolated cemetery, the couple heard crying from within the earth. They continued digging approximately three feet and discovered a newborn buried in a clay pot. The unnamed baby girl is approximately 4-days old, and weighed just over 3 pounds. The local hospital in Uttar Pradesh is caring for the infant who is now in ICU, suffering from respiratory issues.
An investigation is ongoing to locate the parents who face charges of abandoning the infant with intent to murder.
I pray this child, I will name Karuṇa Daya,( meaning mercy) will survive and be surrounded with love. This is a true miracle among the thorns of sorrow.
India is among one of the several country’s who treat girls with inequality. It is unknown if this is the reason Karuna Daya was left to die. This is yet another reason I have a heart for the orphanages of India who care for the abandoned and cast out..
When will hate cease and love begin? We are all created equal and everyone has talents and treasures to offer. I am so thankful this world was not created to include only one race.. This picture sums it up in an eggshell 🙂

Update From India and Pakistan
I would like to thank those who give to the children, your help is greatly appreciated!
The children of India are back to school, and enjoy their studies. They do not have an iPhone or gaming consoles, so their time is spent forever learning and playing!
The weather in India has been threatening, dust storms, heavy rain, and wind. The children have been blessed without sickness so far.
Praveen and the family, have been helping children of widows, and making a difference! Educating and sharing Bible stories with them. Your help has enabled him to offer them snacks, soaps, and tooth brushes. This is something they truly enjoy receiving. When he is able, he also helps area widows who are in need. He would like to do more, but the home children must come first.
In Pakistan, Jamil is also caring for children who had no home. They are back to school, and in need of supplies, and clothing. Jamil rents a space to home school a number of children who are poor or orphans.
It is difficult in many country’s to care for children, because there is no government aid. There are government orphanages, but they lack the bonding and love that they can receive from having a home to call their own.
It is my hope that this children’s charity will grow.. I do not have the means for a charity coordinator, or methods used to grow. I ask that you share with friends and family who have an interest in children’s aid. I appreciate the ladies who have been such a great help from the beginning. I pray you will be blessed for your cheerful giving.
Who decides the value of life?
I know this is a subject highly debated by some, but I am simply bumfuzzled by this way of thinking.
In America a woman can abort a “fetus” up to moments before delivery if she chooses. When the state does not allow late-term procedures, they will refer them to another clinic. If that same woman were to deliver at home or in a college dorm, and the child died, she would be charged with manslaughter. The defense could be stated that she did not want the child, it makes no difference. Only licensed doctors can legally end life. If the same child were to have a medical condition and she did not seek proper treatment, she would be charged with neglect or possibly manslaughter if the child were to die as a result. Yet once in the hands of the hospital, they now have the right to play God. Many parents have been charged with medical neglect because they do not agree with the decisions of their doctor. Whether it be medications or vaccinations, you no longer have the right to decide what is best for them, because you don’t hold their degree. Parents have had a child sent to foster care because they would not give them drugs prescribed for mental conditions. Parents have fought the medical establishment over the right to refuse vaccinations. While others fight for their child to receive medical treatment that could save their life. In London, the Human Rights Counsel has the last word. Infant Charlie Guard was refused life support, and the option to be treated elsewhere, he died July 28, 2017. Infant Alfie Evans died April 28, 2018 after having life support removed. In both cases the government decided if the child would receive treatment, or if it was ethical to sustain life. There are cases where a hard decision must be made, and I am not referring to anyone who has faced that decision.
I am sure there are many cases like this, but one comes to mind. A young man received a brain injury and in deep coma. Doctors advised his mother, that even if he were to awaken there would be little brain function. The diagnosis was grim, and she was advised not to continue life support. Refusing to give up, she sat with her son every day. Reading scriptures, praying, and speaking encouraging words to him. People would often ask why she bothered, since he could not hear. Doctors continued to suggest he be taken of life support, but she refused. On New Years eve, a shift nurse was doing her rounds, and was not happy to be there. She was cursing at him, and saying if not for him, she would be at the party. One glorious day, he did awaken out of the coma. Before leaving he spoke to the shift nurse who was cursing him. He told her everything she had said in the room that New Years Eve. The Color drained from her face, and she was speachless. Not only could he hear a mothers prayers, and her fight for him, but also the negative scoffing of those who did not believe in chance. The young man had full brain function, and compleatly recovered. God can change any circumstance if one has faith that He can. Why not allow God to decide who lives or dies? I believe it comes down to the fact that so many do not believe He created life. Therefore only the strong survive, making it survival of the fittest. This belief puts man in place of God.
The children of India and Pakistan will not awaken to baskets full of candy and toys, indulging in chocolate marshmallow bunny’s and colored eggs.. They will share the day with family, and the less fortunate.. Celebrating the life of Jesus, in country’s where their belief is not welcomed.. They gather what they have to share with others who walk to their home and enjoy a Resurrection Sunday meal.
There will be singing, and sharing a word of hope with many who had nothing to bring.. Children and widows who have no means of support are welcomed and made to feel like one of the family. In a world where they are considered outcasts, they gather in His name, and welcome the heavy-hearted, and those who have much burden. It is a time of rejoicing, and counting of blessings, and the candy and toy’s are traded for so much more..
You may celebrate in your own way, but no matter how you gather, I hope it is a day filled with love and great joy. I see my friends with so little, how they find enough peace and joy to share with so many.. and it makes my heart smile. 🙂
~ Matthew 11:28-30 ~ Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
What is beautifully ugly?
Years ago there was a You Tube video titled “The World’s Ugliest Woman”. I did not watch it, because I do not support hate.. I knew the woman they were using as clickbait could not choose her genetics. To me, the one who published the video was the”worlds ugliest” along with those who added their hurtful comments.. Appearances are merely a shell and people can be beautifully ugly!
Elizabeth Ann Velásquez is beautiful!
Lizzy was born in 1989 prematurely. A rare congenital disease prevents her from gaining weight, causes an aged appearance, and affected her vision. She was blessed to have parents who did not choose to abort, as some had hatefully suggested. As a young girl she didn’t feel anything was “wrong” with her, but noticed other children treated her differently. This is how words, and actions can shape our self-image.
At the age of 17 she saw the video on You Tube, that had named her the world’s ugliest woman.. This video filled her with pain, and the hateful comments only made matters worse. Lizzy’s faith, and strong family support, helped turn hurt and shame into acceptance and emotional healing.
I wonder how the publisher and commenters of that video feel now?
Lizzy decided to fight hate with love, and love always wins! She has dedicated her time to helping others who are victims of cyber bullying.
As a woman who has struggled with low self-esteem throughout my life, I know how cruel some can be. I wanted to be chosen for “Extreme Makeover” they seemed to transform flaws into awes.. The world views beauty as an appearance, and one is only worthy of the title if you meet their criteria. I have been learning that life is likened to the Serenity Prayer.. Except the things we can not change, harness the power to change what we can, and possess the wisdom to know the difference. The most beautiful people I have known are not super models. Their inner beauty seeps through their pores, and that is all you can see.. These are the ones who make the world a better place, like Elizabeth Ann Velásquez. I believe she is the meaning of true beauty!
Thank you for reading 🙂
